I'm a stay at home mom - of course, I have a full-time job driving a "personal taxi" for my daughter! I recently worked part-time as a substitute teacher at my daughter's old school. Believe me, teachers do NOT get paid enough!

My hobbies include writing, photography, and jewelry making. I just started writing a blog about Vegas, too - check it out: www.hayleysmomonvegas.blogspot.com.

I love to watch sports, but especially football, basketball, volleyball, and tennis - at the pro, college, and high school levels.

I first visited Vegas in August 1997 - I was on my way back to Texas after visiting my dying Uncle in California - an 18-hour layover in Vegas sealed the deal!

6/23/08 - We just found out that we lost a friend of ours at Las Vegas 4 Ever. IrishMick (Richard Nolan) died on 6/12/08 from complications related to his ongoing battle with cancer. We all wanted to meet him, and now some of us will never get the chance. God bless you, Richard. May you rest in peace.

    Cool, another Stephen King fan and one who's favorite novel is The Stand. I think I have read it about 5 times. Good summer reading. Try Dean Koontz and the Odd Thomas stories.

    Deann- Dang, girl. I wish I had known you when I was flying through Dallas every 6 months to visit my grandparents in AR. I would have loved to meet up with you.

    Thanks for the nice comments. I think the Venitian is one of the best done theme Casino on the strip. I should have mentioned it before but I think you picture of the Venitian is one of the most unique and beautiful I've seen.
